Messed around with some colors on this sketch from Head Rending last semester.  There was a purple one, too, but it didn't make the cut.

I did, like, fifty of these, and these are the only decent ones.  Teeth are surprisingly hard.

Practicing.
Also - ha.  Some of these are the eyes of celebrities, and if that sort of thing interests you, I've identified them below.

IDK why I think this is funny.  Maybe because these specific choices are less than surprising. *cough* Brandon Flowers *cough*

The semester is over.  In between breathing great sighs of relief and sleeping, I managed to scan and edit some of my favorite drawings that I did for my Head Rendering class.  It's only portraits from here on out.

(2018) Bernini's David for Figure Drawing I
Ohhhh my gosh, I'm so proud of this one.
As we were nearing the end of Figure Drawing I last semester, we started doing a lot of finished drawings, and I chose to draw a Bernini sculpture for every single one.  It's just so gratifying to spend hours studying such beautiful work.  Plus, uhhh, I've seen this piece IN PERSON.  No big deal, whatever, it's fine.

(2015) Brandon Flowers Sketch
Uhhh...yeah.  Just couldn't quite get his eyes right, you know the feeling.
Really do respect the heck out of this guy.  He's such a great performer and SUCH a great human.

(2018) Figure Drawing for Kat
I sold my first piece of art today!! My friend Kat who sits next to me in Figure Drawing loved this sketch so much she asked to buy it.  Can you believe???  It was honestly such a kind thing for her to do, and I'm really grateful for how supportive she's been throughout the whole semester.
I haven't been sure about posting any of my work from Figure Drawing because I'm not sure how much my followers are comfortable seeing.  But I was too excited about my first sale to not post about it, and the more I look at the work I've done this semester, the more I realize how proud I am of it.  So I think I will post some more nude figures, some time in the near future, when finals are over and I have time to scan things.  Hopefully that's okay with everyone!

(2018) Alaina and Erin for Spatial Drawing
Some profiles from life I did for my spatial drawing class.  This was the only bearable week of that class.

(2016) Still Life for Drawing 1
It's been a minute!  This is the first actual art school assignment that I've posted.  Wait, can you still say art school if it's just art classes at a university?  Hmm.

(2013) Destiel Flower Sketch (Supernatural Fan Art)
This little doodle marks my transition from Doctor Who obsession to Supernatural obsession.  I would just like to say that I don't watch Supernatural anymore; it was a phase, and I'm over it now.  I got tired of all the torture.  And the recurring plot lines.  Also, these idiots would never get together, which I know was never really on the table, but it was just too aggravating for me.  They're still pretty cute, though.

(2012) Freckles Sketch
Her ear is both too large and positioned incorrectly if using basic human anatomy as a guide.  Still.  It's been 5 years since I drew it, and I still kinda like it.  I'll have to try this style again and see if I can do a better job on the ear.

(2011) 8th Grade Beatles Doodle (Fan Art)
HERE. WE. GO.
I am so excited to start sharing some doodles with all you internet people, and I couldn't have started with any other drawing.  I did this in my 8th grade science notebook after watching A Hard Day's Night for the first time.  It was the first drawing I remember being so proud of that I wanted to show everyone, even the kids in my classes that I didn't know.  I'm still proud of it, actually.  What can I say?  I never get tired of these boys.
