11/6/2020 UPDATE
I made an advertisement for my show, so I think it does actually have to happen now.

(2019) Ink Poems_I'm so sorry
Alrighty, that's the last of of the poems.  I kind of want to make more?  Maybe for this year's Inktober?

(2019) Ink Poems_I told my heart that I didn't trust it
Almost done with these, I promise.  They're sad, but they look really cool, right??

(2019) Ink Poems_I think maybe
Happy Valentine's Day!  Being romantic can also mean being super extra and depressing.

(2019) Ink Poems_I miss you
So I made a bunch of these ink stain things for my Drawing I class; 3 years ago now!  I didn't want to just throw them away, and I also happened to have a bunch of poems that I couldn't seem to finish.  Somehow I decided to try throwing them together and these are the result.  Angsty, yes.  But honest.  And pretty cool-looking, too.

(2019) Ink Poems_Brush me off
My friends on Instagram are super nice and encouraged me to post my angsty teenage heartbreak poems, even though Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  Or maybe because Valentine's is right around the corner...
Get ready for a bunch of these.

(2017) Bird Word Art
I made this on my phone.  I accidentally made a bird while angrily scribbling words.  And then I kept it on my phone for two years.  Now it's finally free.

(2017) Album Cover for Digital Painting
This assignment was also a lot of fun.  I was obsessed with the Scissor Sisters' song, "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" at the time, so I tried playing around with disco colors.  It underwent a lot of changes, but this version is definitely the best.

(2017) Gestalt Closure for 2D Design
I've studied Gestalt principles in literally every art class I've taken in college.  EVERY. SINGLE. CLASS.

(2017) Color Theory for 2D Design
This assignment was insane.  We looked at how putting two colors next to each other could make our eyes see one of the colors differently than if the color was viewed by itself.  I had to try to make one color look like two different colors (first image) and two different colors look like the same color (second image).  I could only use the colors in the larger rectangles to try to modify the way the smaller rectangles looked.  IT WAS SO HARD.  I think the first one is actually pretty impressive; the turquoise does a great job of bringing out the purple in the smaller rectangle. But I seriously struggled with the second challenge.  The purples don't look exactly the same, but pretty close.
Brains are so weird.

(2017) Klaine Pop Art (Glee)
Haha, I don't even know.  I had this awful drawing of their first kiss that I couldn't finish, so I toned it way down to just flat shapes and kept trying new colors, and then this happened.
This kiss was everything, though, right??

(2015) HOSA Posters
So I made these posters for a competition at my high school.  HOSA wanted something to remind people to wash their hands during flu season.  The prize was $50, and I WANTED IT.  I am bitter to this day because they never actually named a winner.
Happy New Year, everyone!

(2012) Plant Collection for Biology
Here are some of the best pages I made for my 9th grade plant collection.  I liked this project INFINITELY more than the bug collection.  It looked a lot prettier.  And smelled better, incidentally.
