(2020) Bride #5 Side by Side
Direct lighting really helped this one become more moody.  Show closes tonight!  Get in there while you still can!

(2020) Brides #4 Side by Side
This one needed a major upgrade.

(2020) Bride #3 Side by Side
This one probably changed the least from the first version to the second, but because of all the details I added on the second go-round it definitely took the longest to redo!

(2020) Bride #2 Side by Side
Here's another comparison between the first set of paintings and the second.

(2020) Bride #1 Side by Side
Thank you for a wonderful response to my show!  I love that I finally get to share these paintings with you, and I'm so grateful to everyone who has taken time to look at them.  The show will be up for the next four days, so to keep the momentum going, I wanted to give you a little look at the progression to the finished product.  I did the first set of these paintings over the summer, and I ended up being so unhappy with them that I redid each one.  They came out MUCH better the second time around, and the redo was worth every moment of panic when I thought I wasn't going to meet my deadline.
What do you think?  Do you like the first version or the second version better?  Does one communicate a specific mood more clearly than the other?

11/4/2020 - Show Tease #1
Hi.  It's a weird, tense time, and it feels a little wrong to be posting about my own stuff, but the show is only a week out, so.  I'm gonna do it.  Here's a little tease of the first of my six Bridal Train paintings.  Can't wait for you to see them all on the 12th!
